The beautiful city (the only city in Cornwall) of Truro is the place you come to shop, study or simply have a good night out. Boasting neat Georgian streets, cobbled lanes and pretty green spaces, it is the perfect place to stop and wander during your bus travels. Look out for the leats along the streets; locally known as kennels. These Victorian channels once kept the streets clean and the horses watered.
The unusually small city isn’t the county town (that’s still Bodmin) and isn’t even the county’s largest town ( St Austell). However, it’s Cornwall’s administrative centre, and a very nice little city to spend time in.
