When Hulley's of Baslow operated the 170 route, English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS) passes, such as the Derbyshire Gold Card, were accepted. This is based on Derbyshire County Council's general concessionary fares schemes, which are jointly funded by Derbyshire County Council and Derby City Council, and the fact that Hulley's 170 services received financial support from the council. ENCTS Gold Cards allow free travel on local buses throughout Derbyshire and the rest of England from 9:30 am up to 11 pm on weekdays, and at any time during weekends and on bank holidays. Please note that Hulley's of Baslow ceased operating the 170 route on March 26, 2025, and the service was subsequently taken over by High Peak Buses and Stagecoach.
