No advanced booking: just turn up and go!

Booking a seat in advance is not possible for Stagecoach in Cumbria's Route 600. You can simply board the bus at any stop along the route. Tickets can be purchased on board using contactless payment (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay) or cash. Alternatively, you can buy tickets in advance through the Stagecoach Bus App. From January 1, 2025, single bus journeys on Stagecoach services in England, including Route 600, are capped at a maximum of £3.

Concessions & free bus passes

Concessionary passes are accepted on The Lakes 600.

Accepted concessionary bus passes: ENCTS (English National Concessionary Travel Scheme).

English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS) passes, including those issued by other authorities and London Freedom Passes with ENCTS details, are accepted. Travel is free from 09:30 to 23:00 on weekdays, and all day on weekends and bank holidays. Welsh concessionary bus passes are also accepted for travel on Stagecoach services in England. Scottish National Entitlement Cards are not valid for journeys made wholly within England on this route, though they are valid for cross-border services to and from Carlisle from Scotland.
