Cycles are carried free of charge on all ScotRail services, with designated spaces available on trains. Reservations for cycle spaces are not compulsory on the Glasgow to Gourock line, operating on a first-come, first-served basis for unreserved spaces. Fully folded bikes with wheels no more than 20 inches in diameter can be taken without reservation. Power-assisted cycles without traditional pedals and tandems are not permitted on ScotRail services.
