No advanced booking: just turn up and go!

You can purchase tickets for travel on the Marshlink Line from Southern Railway's website, app, or at station ticket offices and machines. While you buy a ticket for a specific service or travel window, booking a specific seat is generally not possible for standard class travel on Southern services. For the Marshlink Line, Standard Class tickets can even be used in First Class due to its two-coach train composition.

Concessions & free bus passes

Marshlink Line does not accept concessionary bus passes.

You can not use your concessionary bus pass to travel on Marshlink Line. There are other great value tickets available for you.

Concessionary passes such as the ENCTS (English National Concessionary Travel Scheme) are primarily for bus travel in England and are not generally valid for free rail travel on the Marshlink Line. Welsh, Scottish, and Northern Irish concessionary passes are not valid for rail travel in this part of England. The London Freedom Pass is also not valid on the Marshlink Line, as the line operates entirely outside of London Travelcard Zones where such passes are accepted on National Rail services.
