Accessibility & on-board features

Passengers can take small folding bicycles on any South Western Railway (SWR) train, including services that connect to the Purbeck Line, as long as there is space for safe stowage without obstruction. For non-folding bicycles, restrictions apply on some SWR services, particularly during peak times for trains arriving at or departing from London Waterloo and Clapham Junction. A reservation is required for non-folding bikes on services between London Waterloo and Salisbury/Exeter. E-bikes are permitted on SWR trains and at stations, but charging them onboard or at stations is not allowed. For full details, please refer to the South Western Railway bike policy on their website.
