English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS) passes are accepted on Bluestar 9 services, but with time restrictions depending on the issuing authority and type of pass.
For Southampton older persons passes, travel is valid between 09:00 and 23:59 Monday to Friday for journeys starting within Southampton City, and from 09:30 until 23:00 Monday to Friday for journeys outside Southampton. Travel is permitted all day at weekends and Bank Holidays.
Hampshire County Council older persons bus passes are valid on buses in Hampshire between 09:30 and 23:00 Monday to Friday, and all day at weekends and on Bank Holidays.
Disability bus passes for Hampshire residents are valid all day, every day for journeys starting within Hampshire (excluding Southampton).
A disabled person's Southampton bus pass can be used between 09:00 and 23:59 Monday to Friday, and all day weekends and public holidays.
All other English council passes are generally valid from 09:30 to 23:00 Monday to Friday and all day weekends and public holidays.
