Concessions & free bus passes
Concessionary passes are accepted on Coaster 12X.
Accepted concessionary bus passes: ENCTS (English National Concessionary Travel Scheme).
English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS) passes are accepted on Coaster 12X services, but with time restrictions. Brighton & Hove residents holding older person's or disabled person's bus passes cannot travel free in the city area on Mondays to Fridays between 4:00 AM and 9:00 AM. If their journey starts outside the city (e.g., Lewes), free travel is not valid until 9:30 AM on weekdays. For ENCTS pass holders who are not residents of Brighton & Hove, free travel is not permitted between 11:00 PM and 9:30 AM on Mondays to Fridays. There are no time restrictions for any concessionary passes on weekends and Bank Holidays (valid from 00:01 AM until midnight). While disabled cardholders may travel with a companion, Brighton & Hove City Council does not issue separate companion passes, and companion passes issued by other authorities are not valid for travel within Brighton & Hove.
