Tickets, including single, return, and various saver options, can be purchased on board, often using contactless payment. For convenience, you can also buy tickets via the Brighton & Hove Buses app or through other sales channels.

Concessions & free bus passes
Concessionary passes are accepted on Coaster 13X.
Accepted concessionary bus passes: ENCTS (English National Concessionary Travel Scheme).
English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS) passes, including Older Person's and Disabled Person's Bus Passes, are accepted on the Coaster 13X route, but with time restrictions.
For Brighton & Hove residents, free travel is not valid within the city area on Mondays to Fridays between 4 am and 9 am. If a journey starts outside the city (e.g., Lewes), free travel is not permitted until 9:30 am on weekdays.
For residents from other areas (outside Brighton & Hove), free travel is not valid between 11 pm and 9:30 am on Mondays to Fridays.
There are no time restrictions for any concessionary passes on weekends and Bank Holidays; they are valid from 12:01 am until midnight.
Brighton & Hove City Council does not issue separate companion passes for disabled pass holders. Companion passes issued by other authorities are not valid for travel within Brighton & Hove. In such cases, the disabled cardholder receives the discount, and companions may be required to pay for journeys starting within the council's boundaries.
