This is a regular bus service where you simply turn up at any stop along the route, board the bus, and purchase your ticket. You can pay on board using contactless payment or cash, or buy mobile tickets through the Stagecoach app. Various ticket options are available, including single, DayRider, and longer-term passes.

Concessionary passes are accepted on Stagecoach Gold X17.
Accepted concessionary bus passes: ENCTS (English National Concessionary Travel Scheme).
English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS) passes are accepted on Stagecoach Gold X17 services. Pass holders can travel free between 9:30 AM and 11:00 PM on weekdays and all day on weekends and bank holidays. Additionally, ENCTS concessionary pass holders can travel free before 9:30 AM for hospital appointments in South and West Yorkshire and Chesterfield by showing a valid appointment letter for the day of travel.
