Concessions & free bus passes
Glasgow to Wemyss Bay does not accept concessionary bus passes.

The Scotland National Entitlement Card is valid for travel on ScotRail services, including the Glasgow to Wemyss Bay route. The level of concession varies based on the cardholder's eligibility and the specific type of card:
* **Blind Persons or Blind Person Companion National Entitlement Card holders** are entitled to free rail travel in standard class within Scotland, with no time restrictions.
* **Disabled people and those aged 60 and over (non-visually impaired)**: For journeys within the Strathclyde area (which includes the Glasgow to Wemyss Bay route), a 33.3% discount is applied to selected ticket types, with a minimum fare of £1.00 for a single journey and £1.50 for a return. Fares are capped at £2.50 single and £4.00 return between stations within designated rural zones. Disabled cardholders are not subject to time restrictions. Concessionary fare tickets must be purchased before boarding at a ScotRail booking office, or on board if the station is unstaffed or the booking office is closed.
* **Young Scot National Entitlement Card holders** (aged 16-18, or up to 25 and a full-time volunteer) receive 1/3 off most rail fares and 50% off weekly, monthly, and annual tickets. A minimum fare of £12.00 applies for travel before 10:00 Monday to Friday, except during July and August or when purchasing a season ticket.
