Dogs can usually travel with you onboard this route.
However, it's at the driver's discretion, the driver will consider things like if there is already another pet on the bus when making their decision.
Guide dogs and assistance dogs are of course allowed at all times.
Timetables
Services on the East Coastway line, operated by Southern, typically run as follows: two trains per hour between Brighton and Hastings all day, with one direct and one indirect journey per hour changing at Lewes or Eastbourne. The Lewes to Brighton weekday service operates four trains per hour all day. Between Brighton and Seaford (via Lewes), services are half-hourly. From Eastbourne to Hastings, trains run approximately every 30 minutes. An hourly service operates between Eastbourne and Ashford International (via Ore), including additional Sunday stops at Pevensey & Westham, Cooden Beach, and Collington on the Marshlink line. There are also hourly services from London Victoria to Eastbourne and Ore. Southeastern provides half-hourly trains from London Charing Cross to Hastings, with extra services during weekday peak hours.

Accessibility & on-board features
Passengers can bring fully folding bikes, folding e-bikes, and folding manual scooters on board at any time. Regular bikes are permitted free of charge but are subject to restrictions, including not being allowed on peak-hour trains to and from London, Brighton, or Kensington Olympia on weekdays. Additional restrictions may apply on the East Coastway line during summer weekends. Non-folding bikes are generally not allowed on rail replacement bus services.
