Accessibility & on-board features

Passengers can take bikes onboard Northern services, including the Lakes Line, free of charge and without needing a reservation. However, space is limited to a maximum of two bikes per train and is allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with conductors having the right to refuse if the train is busy. Tandems, tricycles, and trailers cannot be carried due to space constraints, but folding bikes are permitted as luggage when folded.
