No advanced booking: just turn up and go!

Seat reservations are not possible for the St Ives Bay Line. You can purchase tickets on the GWR app or website, from ticket offices or ticket machines at staffed stations such as St Erth and St Ives. If you board at an unstaffed station without ticket facilities, you can buy your ticket from the Conductor on the train.

Concessions & free bus passes

St Ives Bay Line does not accept concessionary bus passes.

You can not use your concessionary bus pass to travel on St Ives Bay Line. There are other great value tickets available for you.

Concessionary bus passes, such as the English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS), are not valid for free travel on the St Ives Bay Line. These passes are generally for bus services in Cornwall. There is an ongoing campaign to extend the use of free bus passes to train services in Cornwall. However, holders of National Railcards, including the Senior Railcard and Disabled Persons Railcard, are eligible for discounted fares on the St Ives Bay Line.
