No advanced booking: just turn up and go!

Booking a seat on the Transport for London (TfL) Circle Line, which is part of the London Underground, is not possible. You simply turn up at any station, pay for your journey using a contactless card or device, an Oyster card, or a Travelcard, and board the train. You must 'touch in' at the start and 'touch out' at the end of your journey to ensure you pay the correct fare.

Concessions & free bus passes

Concessionary passes are accepted on Circle Line.

Accepted concessionary bus passes: London Freedom pass.

The London Freedom Pass is accepted on the Circle Line (London Underground). However, the Older Person's Freedom Pass is not valid for travel between 04:30 and 09:00 on weekdays. The Disabled Person's Freedom Pass is valid at all times. English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS) passes, Welsh concessionary bus passes, Scotland National Entitlement Cards, and Northern Irish SmartPasses are generally not accepted for travel on the London Underground.
